We started with a simple observation — the Muslim community deserves better apps. Better designed, more accurate, more respectful of privacy, and free from the distractions of ads and data harvesting. That's what we set out to build.

Al-Maqdisi Productions is a software company founded in Oregon in 2026 with a focused mission: build digital tools that genuinely help Muslims practice and grow in our faith.

Ad-Free

Worship should never be interrupted by advertisements. Our apps will never show ads — not now, not ever.

Islamic content is handled with care. We reference established scholarly sources and support multiple madhabs where applicable.

Offline-Ready

Your faith doesn't depend on WiFi. Core features in every app work without an internet connection.

Who's Behind It

Built by a Pilgrim

Al-Maqdisi Productions was founded by Yazan Siam — a software engineer and Hajj pilgrim based in Oregon, United States. Hajj Sense began as the app he wished he'd had in Mecca: built during his own preparation, tested on his own pilgrimage.

Every Al-Maqdisi app starts the same way — a real need in our own worship, built carefully enough to share with the ummah.

Islamic content in our apps is referenced against cited classical and contemporary sources. For personal rulings, we always recommend confirming with a qualified scholar.

What We Build

Our Apps

We currently develop four applications, each serving a distinct need:

Hajj Sense — A bilingual day-by-day Hajj guide supporting all four madhabs, with live tracking, loop counters, and emergency features. Available on iOS and Android.

Salah OnBoard — Prayer times and Qibla direction for travelers, with real-time flight tracking that adjusts salah calculations as you cross time zones. Available on iOS and Android.

Uswah — Your companion to the life, character, and teachings of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ — interactive Seerah, Shama'il narrations, cited hadith search, and daily Sunnah practices. In development — beta access open.

Zakat Sense — A year-round Zakat companion that calculates across every asset type with cited rulings from all four madhabs, tracks your lunar Hawl, and guides you to give 100% to vetted causes. Coming soon.
