Our Promise

Your worship is not a data source.

Every Al-Maqdisi app is built on one covenant: the tools you use to pray, give, and learn will never be turned against you. This page is that covenant, in writing — and below it, the ways you can verify it yourself.

The Covenant

What we never do

Never sell your data

We have never sold user data, and we never will. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone.

Never show ads

Worship is not ad inventory. No banners, no interstitials, no sponsored content — not now, not ever.

Never gate worship behind an account

Our apps work fully without a sign-up or login. If we ever add optional account linking — to sync across your devices, say — it stays exactly that: optional, and your choice.

Keep your personal data on your device

Prayer locations, Zakat amounts, Hajj plans — computed and kept on your device, not on our servers. Anything we do measure is anonymous and aggregate: numbers that help us improve, never a record of you.

Never track you across apps or the web

No third-party ad SDKs, no fingerprinting, no cross-app identifiers. We can't follow you around the internet — and we don't try.

Never use dark patterns

No nagging, no guilt-tripping, no manufactured urgency, no hidden fees. Honest software, plainly offered.

Why It Matters

Why privacy matters to us

The moments our apps touch — your prayers, your giving, your turning to your Lord — are among the most private a person has. Worship is a matter between you and Allah ﷻ, and the tools that serve it should treat it that way.

Our relationship with Allah ﷻ is personal — and our apps respect that. So we build under a simple rule: collect as little as possible, keep what is yours on your device, and never turn an act of worship into a product. Privacy here isn't a feature we added; it's a condition we build under.

Don't Take Our Word for It

How to verify us

1. Read each app's privacy policy

Written in plain language, specific to each app — no boilerplate.

2. Check the store privacy labels

Apple and Google require every app to declare what it collects. Open any of our App Store or Google Play listings and compare our labels with the apps you use today.

3. Watch the permissions

Our apps request the minimum the feature needs — and explain why before asking. Location for Qibla stays on your device. This website sets no tracking cookies.

Hold us to it

If you ever find anything in our apps that doesn't live up to this page, tell us — we'll fix it and thank you for it.
